WHY ELLEN?

In addition to a clear vision, I bring years of practical experience to my candidacy. With over six years on the City’s Environmental Planning Commission (EPC), I have served as Vice Chair in 2014 and Chair in 2015. On the EPC, I actively participated in shaping the City’s environmental sustainability, historic preservation, and quality of life by insuring that we continue to build strong, family-oriented neighborhoods.

Has a record of approaching each development and project through a lens of sustainability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create energy efficiencies, and encourage recycling, including water

In addition to my years of work on the EPC and public policy career, I am an avid volunteer, particularly when it comes to education. I on the volunteer committees for the Measure B 2016 and Measure E 2018 school bonds to fund school facility improvements and construction. You can also often find me biking and running along Stevens Creek Trail.
